I was in South India a second time. At the end of 2022, I not only received lessons in playing the Dholak, but was also able to take home a beautiful instrument: A handmade Dholak made of mango wood, which the drum shop owner Ali had made especially for me. I met him again this year. What a reunion! Maybe one day I will manage to play the Tabla after all, that would be a dream…

As part of “Berlin in the Tiefenrausch – end of the 90’s until today“, I presented my own musical path with The Fire Orange Project, where we combine acoustic jazz with modern groove and edge. For the event in the wonderful Amalienpark Gallery, I traveled to my hometown and took everyone on a multi-media journey with pictures, videos, entertaining background stories and a retrospect to the nineties and celebrated the Echo Sounder EP release (link).

The long awaited third production with The Fire Orange Project is out, plus videos from the live recording session.
